In both the Presentation and Bulletin views, you have the ability to change the fonts that are used, adding more customization to your services. This feature is only in these two views.
CPH does not have a library of fonts that can be used. Instead, Lutheran Service Builder recognizes the fonts that are installed on your computer and can use any of those. This allows you to download and use any font you want.
Note
Some fonts are covered under copyright laws, and it is the church’s responsibility to obtain permission to use those fonts. When choosing new fonts, the safest option is to choose public-domain fonts.
A font cannot be used if it is not compatible with the web browser you are currently using. If the font cannot be used, it will not appear in the drop-down menus in the Presentation and Bulletin views. You may want to try opening the page in a different web browser. If a service is planned using a font that is not installed on your computer, the font will default to Times New Roman in the preview and Arial in the PowerPoint export.
A message will appear if a font is used in a format that is not available on your computer or the font is only available with certain applications and cannot be displayed in Lutheran Service Builder. If you see this error message, check to make sure the font is installed. If the font is installed and you still cannot use it, it is not compatible with Lutheran Service Builder.
Here is how to install a font:
- Download the font you would like to install.
- Open the zip file and open the .tff file.
- Select “Install” at the top of the new window.
Here is how to check if a font is installed:
- Open the start menu, search “fonts”, and press enter.
- A new window will appear displaying all the fonts that are presently installed on your computer.
